You and your coach

You & your Coach = Wellbeing

Hello, dear friends, and welcome back to my blog!

Before diving any deeper in the fascinating universe of positive psychology, I just wanted to clarify what does it mean to take coaching sessions and I will start by explaining first the difference between coaching and therapy. With a focus on coaching, because this is what I’m specialized in.

While both are vocations that are very needed in today’s society, and even though the line between the two can sometimes be blurry…

COACHING is all about your growth and development and is focused on your “here and now” situation and what you want to obtain, based on your own resources, old and new / obtained via the coaching process.

where as…

Therapy is about healing first. And is therefore focused more on past issues.

There are many types of coaching, as there are many types of psychology/therapy. Life led me to discover, study and love the field of positive psychology. In short, positive psychology aims to improve quality of life, encouraging us to put an emphasis on happiness, well-being and positivity.

How much time do you need for coaching?

Change takes time, so coaching sessions can require anything 4 to 30 meetings, depending what you want to obtain and how much you want to grow.

What do you need to find in a coach?

A coach is a partner that will walk alongside you during the process you are going through. A person who will never judge you and who will trust you to be able to find your own solutions to the issues you have.

No solution will be good enough for you except the one you find yourself. Because that is the only one based on your own resources and life experience. And therefore the most relevant and useful for you right now.

What results will you obtain from a coaching course?

Well, to count just a few, you will be able to:

  1. Identify your own personal strengths and resources – and then utilize, optimize and develop them
  2. Make a positive habit change, based on your own personal needs
  3. Enhance your positive states, traits and behaviours
  4. Obtain personal growth, optimal functioning, enhanced wellbeing
  5. Improve the flow and fulfilment in your life

So, if you want to know what your personal strengths are, or if you want more flow and fulfilment in your life but don’t know what to do about it, a few coaching sessions will bring you the much needed clarity.

And if you are interested in your personal development, wellbeing and fulfilment, it would bring me great joy to be your partner on this most rewarding and empowering path. The 1st meeting, where we talk about what you need, is free of charge.
